“Failure Is Impossible” Performed by Eau Claire Women in Theater

Eau Claire Women in Theater (ECWIT) is a local all-female performing arts group that specializes in dramatic reader’s theater. The League of Women Voters commissioned the historical performance of “Failure Is Impossible” (Suffrage Show) for the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment in 2020. Unfortunately, much like the story of suffrage itself, the celebration was delayed, and the show was first performed at the historic Mabel Tainter Theater in 2022. It is now fitting that with the 250th birthday of our country and just before an election, that ECWIT reminds us of the struggle for voting rights for women and the necessity of everyone using their right to vote to defend democracy.

LWV-GCV Member Volunteers Needed...
At this event, we are seeking two LWV-GCV volunteers. Volunteers should arrive by 1:00pm to set up the table and arrange the voting materials for the guests coming to see the play. Volunteers need to have received the LWV-GCV training in order to be knowledgeable in assisting and /or registering people to vote. Information on the upcoming election will be available to all the participants. Volunteers will also help with the take down of the table and materials after the play ends.
